Passionate about Pantries

Pantries are the hub of the home which makes it a challenge to keep neat, tidy, and functional. Let’s dive in!

Potential clients will often get an earful from me when we have a consultation about their pantry. The pantry is the one area of the home that I feel is worth putting a little money and effort into. An organized and functional pantry will save you a lot of money and frustration over time. The amount of food that gets thrown out when I do a pantry overhaul is shocking! Unwanted food, expired food, and the ever so common holiday basket food that gets shoved to the back and possibly left for unwanted critters makes us feel like we have nothing to eat in the house which then leads to over purchasing and the vicious cycle continues. Oh, but then, you think if I just go buy a pretty bin or basket it will magically get your pantry organized once and for all. Unfortunately it’s not that simple. This step requires thoughtful space planning, measuring, and purchasing product that doesn’t take up extra space. For example, bins or baskets that have handles that stick out or thick ends take up precious space when you multiply that by 3 or 4 times.

I have spent many hours in many pantries and would be happy to spend some time in yours!

Keeping your pantry decluttered of expired and unwanted food and leaving space for items that deserve prime real estate and that you will actually use and enjoy is the #1 goal!
